The 8th All Africa Games was held in Abuja, Nigeria from 4-18th October 2003.
This were the largest ever All Africa Games. 6000 athletes from 53 countries competed in 22 sports, watched over by 1200 officials. Over 1500 journalists reported for the world's media.
In January 2003 Norman Brierley and Solomon Ashoms visited Abuja to plan for the Games with our good friends in Nigeria from Journalists for Christ.
2K Plus coordinated a team of six reporters gathered from our partner organisations across the continent. Under the leadership of Norman Brierley from Feba Radio, the team recorded over 300 interviews and filed over 50 reports in seven languages.

We interviewed competitors, officials, spectators and Games volunteers and recorded teams singing and excited fans cheering. Many of the interviews featured athletes, coaches and officials talking about their faith in Christ and how their faith impacts their life and sport. We also interviewed members of the More Than Gold outreach teams who were taking the opportunity provided by the Games to share their faith in Christ with athletes and sports fans.
