Commonwealth Games 2006
The Melbourne 2006 sports programme comprised 12 individual and four team sports, with a total of 24 disciplines to be contested at the Games.
- Aquatics included diving, swimming and synchronised swimming
- Cycling included road, track and mountain bike
- Gymnastics included both the artistic and rhythmic disciplines
- Shooting included clay target, pistol, small bore and air rifle and full bore rifle
The Sports Programme for Elite Athletes with a Disability (EAD) comprised 12 events across four sports - Swimming, Athletics, Table Tennis and Powerlifting - which were integrated into the general Games competition schedule.
Altogether 4500 athletes were expected from 72 Commonwealth nations. The 2K Plus team was among 3000 media reporting on the Games.
