The Melbourne 2006 sports programme comprises 12 individual and four team sports, with a total of 24 disciplines to be contested at the Games.
The Sports Programme for Elite Athletes with a Disability (EAD) will comprise 12 events across four sports - Swimming, Athletics, Table Tennis and Powerlifting - which will be integrated into the general Games competition schedule.
Altogether 4500 athletes are expected from 72 Commonwealth nations. The 2K Plus team will be among 3000 media reporting on the Games.

Adrian Barnard (team leader) has reported from Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens and the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. His main role in Melbourne will be management and administration. |

Norman Brierley from partner group Feba Radio has led 2K Plus teams at the All Africa Games and World Athletic Championships and has reported with us at previous Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. |

Danny Rice has been a regular 2K Plus team member in recent years covering events such as the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games and 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. His daily "Postcards" reflecting life in Games cities during major events have proved popular with many radio stations. |

Louise Heinrich is reporting on her first event in her home country since the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Since then she has reported for stations in Australia and New Zealand from the Commonwealth Games in Manchester and Athens Olympics. |

Mike Flynn is one of our most experienced reporters having covered Olympic Games in Barcelona and Sydney, Commonwealth Games in Manchester and All Africa Games in Harare and Abuja. In September 2004 he led our team at the Paralympic Games in Athens. |

Alex Mwakideu is a news anchor and producer with Baraka FM, Mombasa. This is his first 2K Plus assignment and he will be reporting for Swahili language radio stations in East Africa. |

Joseph Cleary is based in Melbourne where he is a volunteer sports reporter for New Zealand's Radio Rhema network. He will produce news features and reports with Louise Heinrich primarily for stations in Australia and New Zealand. |

Peter Ellis from partner group Feba Radio is the team's IT consultant, ensuring the internet systems upon which we rely for programme transfer operate efficiently. Peter successfully fulfilled this role for us at the Paralympic Games in Athens. |

Rich Cline is a freelance reporter based in London where he produces regular film reviews for BBC Five Live. Rich is a veteran of 2K Plus reporting having covered four Olympics as well as Commonwealth and All Africa Games. |

Kevin Hooper will be our team chaplain. Kevin is based in Brisbane and comes with a wealth of experience in radio production and management. He is currently a media chaplain serving the network of Christian community radio stations in Australia. |
