The Cricket World Cup 2007 is being held in the Caribbean.

Sixteen teams are taking part: Australia, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe.

The tournament runs for 49 days from the Opening Ceremony at Montego Bay, Jamaica on 11th March to the final in Barbados on 28th April. 51 matches will be played in eight venues: Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia and Trinidad.

2K Plus Radio Service - The Winning Partnership

We are providing a service with four strands:

  1. Cricket Shorts: A series of 24 one-minute packages in which top cricketers talk about their sport and faith in Jesus Christ. See down this page for full list and audio files.
  2. World Cup Analysis: Regular comment and analysis as the tournament unfolds from former Zimbabwe cricketer Henry Olonga and Australian correspondent Joseph Cleary.
  3. Outreach, Witness and Service: Followers of Jesus Christ in the Caribbean are organising a wide range of activities during the World Cup including festivals, literature distribution, special church services, clean-up campaigns and prayer vigils. We will be reporting on these and other events happening during the World Cup around the world.
  4. Testimonies: Followers of Jesus Christ from the world of cricket discuss their lives, sport and faith. Includes Henry Olonga, Ray Price and Tatenda Taibu (Zimbabwe) and Peter Pollock (South Africa)
