2010
03-14 October: XIX Commonwealth Games, Delhi Team: Solomon Ashoms, Norman Brierley The Commonwealth Games attracted competitors from 72 Commonwealth nations 17 events ranging from archery to wrestling. Solomon and Norman produced interviews and daily reports for 20 radio stations. Notable interviews included Moses Kipsiro, Uganda's gold medallist in both 5000m and 10000m and a committed follower of Jesus Christ and Kelly Holmes, England's 2004 double Olympic champion in 800m and 1500m.
13-14 August: Aviva London Grand Prix, Crystal Palace Team: Norman Brierley Norman recorded interviews with a wide range of athletes including Kenya's Janeth Jepkosgei, Vivian Cheruiyot and Paul Koech, USA's Alison Felix and South Africa's paralympian, Oscar Pistorious.
11 June-11 July: FIFA World Cup™, South Africa Team: Adrian Barnard, Pedro Arias, Solomon Ashoms, Ryan Baker, Marcos Falcao, Steve Vickers, Stuart Weir From our base in Johannesburg, with Stuart Weir in Cape Town, we provided services in English and Spanish including reports, interviews, round table discussions, features on Christian service and outreach activities and vox pops with fans. Over 1500 radio stations broadcast our content. Our daily 30-minute programme Up For The Corner! was broadcast on 15 stations in eight countries and attracted a regular response from listeners to discussions and competitions.
25-31 May: Paralympic World Cup, Manchester, UK Team: Norman Brierley Norman recorded interviews with athletes for our weekly Planet Sport radio programme.
20 February: Aviva Indoor Grand Prix, Birmingham, UK Team: Norman Brierley, Tom Ellis Recorded interviews with international athletes including Kenya's Sammy Mutai and Richard Kiplagat.
2009
20-25 May: BT Paralympic World Cup, Manchester The PWC is the main disability sport event outside the Paralympic Games. 2K Plus has reported from the PWC each year from 2004. Reporter Norman Brierley recorded over 30 interviews with athletes including Olympic champions and world record holders, Natalie du Toit, Kevin Paul and Oscar Pistorius. Kevin Paul, a 17-year-old swimmer from Port Elizabeth, South Africa spoke eloquently about his faith.
24-25 July: Aviva London Grand Prix, Crystal Palace We interviewed many of the world's top athletes including Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie, Asafa Powell, Madeline Okoru, Yelena Isinbayeva and Allyson Felix. Debbie, Madeline and Allyson talked about the impact of their faith on their sport and life.
15-23 August: World Championships in Athletics, Berlin Reporter Norman Brierley covered this event and spoke to world record breaking sprinter, Usain Bolt. Other athletes interviewed included Allyson Felix, Kenenisa Bekele, Bernard Lagat and Emmanuel Mutai. British triple jump world champion Phillips Idowu spoke about his faith at a press conference.
