20 February 2010: Aviva Grand Prix, Birmingham, UK
Team: Norman Brierley, Tom Ellis
One of the highlights of the indoor athletics season, the Aviva Grand Prix attracts many of the world's top athletes.  Norman Brierley brings a wealth of reporting experience to this event, having reported from past Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships in Athletics and Grand Prix.  Intern Tom Ellis was part of our team at the London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace in July 2009.

11 June-11 July 2010: FIFA World Cup™, South Africa

Steve Vickers
(right) will produce and present a daily 30-minute show featuring news and interviews with players and fans, discussions about the main issues and news of the Christian mission and outreach events happening in South Africa during the World Cup.  Steve was formerly a producer with the BBC World Service sports programme, Fast Track.

We will be reporting on the games themselves and providing an insight into life in the country as the tournament progresses. Before the World Cup we will produce a series of radio programmes called Spirit of Football exploring some of the moral, ethical and spiritual issues of the Beautiful Game.

13-14 August 2010: Aviva London Grand Prix, Crystal Palace, UK

The event we have covered more than any other.  Great sport, great atmosphere and a wealth of top class athletes to interview.

03-14 October 2010: XIX Commonwealth Games, Delhi
Team:

If we go to Delhi this will be the third Commonwealth Games we have covered following Manchester (2002) and Melbourne (2006).  We will make a final decision based on security and likely the demand for our services from this event at the beginning of April 2010.

2009

20-25 May: BT Paralympic World Cup, Manchester
The PWC is the main disability sport event outside the Paralympic Games. 2K Plus has reported from the PWC each year from 2004.  Reporter Norman Brierley recorded over 30 interviews with athletes including Olympic champions and world record holders, Natalie du Toit,  Kevin Paul and Oscar Pistorius.  Kevin Paul, a 17-year-old swimmer from Port Elizabeth, South Africa spoke eloquently about his faith.

24-25 July: Aviva London Grand Prix, Crystal Palace
We interviewed many of the world's top athletes including Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie, Asafa Powell, Madeline Okoru, Yelena Isinbayeva and Allyson Felix.  Debbie, Madeline and Allyson talked about the impact of their faith on their sport and life.

15-23 August: World Championships in Athletics, Berlin
Reporter Norman Brierley covered this event and spoke to world record breaking sprinter, Usain Bolt.  Other athletes interviewed included Allyson Felix, Kenenisa Bekele, Bernard Lagat and Emmanuel Mutai.  British triple jump world champion Phillips Idowu spoke about his faith at a press conference.
