Norman Brierley has been appointed 2K Plus’ new Africa Development Director. His part-time role is to develop relationships with radio stations across Africa and identify new broadcasting outlets. He will also contribute to the weekly Planet Sport programme and report from major sporting events. Prior to joining 2K Plus, Norman has spent the past 37 years working with partner group Feba in Seychelles, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Ethiopia. He has worked with 2K Plus on secondment from Feba at a range of major sporting events since 2002 including Olympic and Commonwealth Games. "I'm looking forward to spending more time with 2K Plus,” said Norman, “particularly in developing the Africa contacts. Africans are crazy about sport and to be able to supply programmes and interviews about Christian sportsmen and women who want to share their faith, will be a great privilege for me.” “We are delighted to have Norman on board,” said 2K Plus Chief Executive Officer Adrian Barnard. “His understanding of Africa, stemming from over 30 years living in the continent, coupled with his experience of 2K Plus for the past seven years makes him ideally suited for this role. We look forward to expanding our work in Africa through Norman’s expertise and endeavour.” Click here to read our full news release.
