"More Than Gold" radio service at the Olympic Games 2004

"When it comes to sport, sport is to bring us together. Sport is not to create an enmity, but it's only to enjoy. One thing that's very important when it comes to sports - this is an Olympics where we meet so many. We come from different walks of life. We have Africans we have Australians, Japanese, Chinese, all these people. But the thing is that when are being together we don't speak the same language all of us but when we are competing we speak the same language - we're in the same sport. This is something that I really enjoy so much, that the whole world can come together and be one family. I think it's very sweet."

Due to copyright issues we cannot use the word "Olympics" in our programme title. 2K Plus has permission to use the name "More Than Gold" which has been registered as a wordmark by the Major Sports Events Partnership. The name comes from a verse in the Bible:

"So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1: 7, NASB)
